Married David Bevins who is still working as an educator after 46years. Started dating Dave when I was a senior at Ervinton High School and he was assistant principal at Harman Elementary School in Buchanan County. Two sons: David—37 and Bobby—35. Three grandchildren: McKenna—7, Hannah—5, and C. J. (Christopher Jorden) –16 months.

Worked as elementary school secretary, substitute teacher, office clerk, retired from Miners and Merchants Bank after 21 years of service.

Associate degrees from Southwest Community College GPA 3.97--1989.

Bachelor of Science Degree Bluefield VA GPA 4.0--1993.

Hobbies: Reading, travel, plays, movies, grandchildren, working in Buchanan County school system, as a substitute teacher.

I graduated from Radford University in 1969 with a B.S. in English and History and then worked briefly for the Rand Corporation in D. C. In the fall of 1969, I began teaching English at Ervinton and worked there until 1974 when R.V. and I were married. I then taught English in Chesterfield County until 1997 when I took early retirement while battling breast cancer. Since then, I have been working part time in my husband's office doing payroll. R.V. is an avid golfer and has been patiently trying to make me an average golfer. I enjoy golf,reading, and working in my herb garden.

I am a trust officer at First Community Bank in Bluefield WV where I administer personal trust accounts and estates. Danny is a real estate broker in the Tazewell VA and Bluefield WV area. We are active in the Main Street United Methodist Church, and we look after my mother who moved to Tazewell in 1995.

About 10 years ago, we became fans of the bluesy, rock'n roll music of Delbert McClinton, and many of our vacations and weekends are spent traveling to his shows throughout the country and the world. We have become real groupies.

I am the wife of Bernie and if he were still alive, he would be so excited about the reunion. I hope that all of you will have a great time & please remember him as he was in high school, because he never changed he loved & lived life to the fullest. We were married for 31 years when he passed away December 29, 1998. After he got out of the army we lived in Arlington, Va. for 3 years and then he was transfered to Roanoke, Va. in 1969, he worked for Murry's Inc. as a salesman for 28 years and he was very good as a salesman because of his personality and gift of gab. We have two childred Stephanie who is a R.N. at Commuity Hospital in Labor & Delivery, she has her father's personality. Our son Matt works for the Virginia Dept. Of Transportation as a Supervisor in Craig County. Stephanie has two son's Brandon and Cole. Matt has four children, Remington, Hunter, & the twins Ridge & Emma.

Bernie only lived to see Brandon & Remington & he loved them dearly. I so wish that he was still here because he had so much that he could have taught them. We miss him so much, but God had other plans for him. Good luck with the reunion.
